Welcome to the board. I totally relate to your experience with the jrsc. I know what it's like to spend ALOT of time and ALOT of money in what seems like a futile attempt to get my car running well.

But let's be fair here. Have you dyno'd your car yet? I've asked you this a half-dozen times in the past (I am LeadFoot on h-a.net)and never got a reply from you. If you haven't dyno'd your car, how do you have any idea whether your car is making 172whp? or 173whp, or 215whp?

I've found that when I call JR with a problem, they're usually pretty helpful. Others on this board will disagree. But, you can't really expect JR to fix your car if you have no idea whether your jrsc is working properly or not. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you don't have a right to be mad. But, you if you're going to try and rally an attack against JR, you really should know whether you, in fact, have a reason to be displeased with your jrsc.

There are a bunch of dissatisfied jrsc ITR owners on this board; you are in good company. But I think we need to work WITH jackson racing to fix the problems. By all means get to a dyno and post your results so we can add to the sum total of knowledge on our cars. If you dyno at 172whp, then by all means you can be upset just like me. But if you dyno above 200whp then you should be happy, and I'll still be upset and very jealous of you. smile

    Hey Man,

Sorry I haven't answered your question. I was able to dyno at a buddies shop 1.5 weeks ago. I dynoed at 187 whp. I only had 2 runs, cuz my friend had an actual customer come in that had to be taken care of. This is with JRSC, & Comptech I/H/E. I should be well over 200 whp (more like 215 or so, based on what I have seen with other ITR's) with the setup I have and cannot seem to get anyone to back me up me.

I agree we need to WORK WITH JR, but anytime I have tried to ask them about this problem they double talk and skate around the issue.

I am just asking for help, in getting what we were all promised, 50-60 whp just by bolting the system on!!!

    Thanks for the response though.

well, 187 is better than 170 , so you shouldn't be complaining. but that was due (hopefully) to bad btc install and loose belts, i will dyno again after i change both pulleys and belt, and get my vafc in there, which should be hear on wednesday..

If this don't get me to 200WHP, then the blower is coming off, being sold to some guy that can us it, i.e civic SI, and drag III here i come.

JRSC is OK by me. It bolts on, delivers noticeable HP increase and my car remains a "daily driver". Sure you can go with a more radical setup and get more HP. Oscar sells to the masses.

    Angry

This was posted on the Honda-acura.net board. I am asking for all my ITR and Import brethren's help (ladies included) for your help in emailing, faxing, writing, phoning, etc., Jackson Racing. I can also be reached by email at [email protected]

    What's up gents/gals.
I sent a mail to JR about the problems with the JRSC not producing anywhere near the power they advertise.

I understand the V-Pak will resolve the fuel problems, but why the HELL should I have to pay extra to get my setup to produce the power they advertised?

I am asking my brethren to join me in bombarding JR with emails, calls, letters, etc, as to why we have to pay extra to get the power they promised, via the V-Pak. I dunno 'bout you but there is no way I am paying another $.01 to get the power I should've gotten with the original $2995+.

I am also not running the 8 psi pulley. I shouldn't have to. I also won't use the 8 psi pulley for fear of blowing my engine.

    What do you think?

Hey we all feel for you, but don't go about htis the wrong way. The V-Pack will not help you at all. All it will do is lower your vtec, and do nothing for the top end. You need to Dyno tune your car and get a BTC. I'm living proof that tuning is everything. I spent a day with Oscar and it was a really good learning experience. Let me know if you need any help.

Ok I know I am gonna get flack for this but what BTC? Why? What benefits?

Also I am not trying to go the wrong way with this, but it is now a week that I have been waiting for a response. Also I have been in contact with these guys numerous times about this.

187 Not Bad? No offense but that's crap. With my I/H/E I should have seen that, but with the I/H/E, & a JRSC I should be at 205-215 at least!!!

Just disappointed that I spent all this friggin money on this setup, and have seen no benefits. Also I won't get a v-afc because guys are getting CEL codes with them.
So now my question is how am I supposed to tune without a v-afc?

I was told the problem comes from the VTM line, but I think Batoutahell, disconnected the line, and still got the CEL codes.

Just not sure what to do.

I am interested to see what happens though.

yeah the vtm wire hookup location was never in the manual, thats what the update on apexi site was.

Bat, do you remeber where you hooked the vtm wire up too, and did you have CELS from the start and couldn't never get rid of them?

I'm going to call apexi again, and talk to another tech, and double check the installation for the ITR's....

I just got my vafc, and will start the install this weekend, I'm going to use the ecu diagram update off apexi website, that newer than the manual,, Hopefully, everything will go good. Still trying to figure out why N/a ITR's have no problems, but jRSC type R do, If i get CEL's then i'll just return it for a safc... or neither. I just wanted to try it for myself, because i know that it should work, i talked to apexi and they said it shouldn't matter. And I know someone is using a vafc with a SC/ITR, and has no problems, so we will see what happens.....
